New visitors to MyFreeCams see rooms in CamScore order unless they pick another sorting, and the MyFreeCams wiki explains what CamScore is: a number worked out automatically from the tokens a model earns over a period, the same way for every model. MyFreeCams suggests reading it as the effect of success rather than its cause.
So there is no shortcut to the score. What brings viewers is the same as on any cam site: a room people want to stay in, and people who come in from outside.
How CamScore moves
- Only tokens move it. Tips, privates, offline tips and MFC Share purchases all count the same. Profile ratings, admires, Away mode and simply being logged in do not change it.
- The first days. MyFreeCams says new models start at 1000 and the median is about 600, so a new score usually falls at first. That is expected, not a sign that something is wrong.
- When it updates. The score updates during the day for models who logged in.
- You can hide it. If you would rather not show your CamScore, you can hide it in Model Settings.
How members find a room
The same wiki page lists the other ways members reach a room, and most of them do not depend on the score:
- Friends. Members see the models they have added as friends first, so each regular who adds you finds you near the top.
- Search. It covers usernames, model tags, room topics and the News Feed. Use the words people actually look for in your tags and topic, and keep them honest.
- Recommendations. Models You May Like, Custom Selections and Model Explorer, which matches members and models by shared interests.
- Lists and word of mouth. Most Popular Rooms and Trending Rooms, and what members say about models in the Lounges and Member Rooms.
MFC Share, for the days you are offline
MFC Share keeps you in touch with members when you are not live, and the tokens you earn there count toward your CamScore. What it gives you:
- Albums. Photos and videos, with tags that search uses, a price in tokens if you want one, and options such as a password, VIP, unlisted, featured or publish later.
- Recordings. Your public and group shows from the MFC stream can be saved automatically.
- A calendar. Events show on your profile, and members get reminders and emails, which suits a regular schedule.
- Ways to take part. Clubs, goals with milestones, polls, tip menus, a blog, Ask Me and contests between models.
- Short links. mfc.me/yourname leads to your profile, and it is short enough for a bio on any other site.
- Managers. You can give someone full access to your MFC Share profile without handing over your main MFC password.
Outside the room
- X (Twitter). Announce shows and post teasers, labelled as sensitive media; clips downloaded from WizeClip make good ones. The X traffic page covers the rules.
- Reddit. Some subreddits are made for cam creators, each with its own way of posting (titles, verification, links); see the Reddit traffic page.
- Your subscribers. Fans on OnlyFans or Fansly are the warmest audience a room can get. Tell them when you are live.
- Clips from your own shows. The source that scales, below.
Clips from your shows
Your recorded shows are full of moments that already worked on a live audience. Record your own broadcast locally, and those moments become short clips on the tube sites, RedGIFs and the short-form adult feeds. Each platform profile links to your room, so the clips keep sending viewers long after the show.
